However due to lower sales volumes the total value of profit isn’t much higher than in Nelson. The total value of losses in Q2 2017 in Invercargill has almost halved from the prior quarter and the median loss is still relatively low at $15k, especially compared to the typical gain of $50k. We can see the one loss-making sale that occurred in Nelson in Q2 2017 was only a loss of $5,000 (on a property worth more than $800k).
