28 House Price Index Values have continued to gradually slide in Auckland - down 0.6% over the last 3 months. Values in Hamilton dropped in late 2016 before slowly regaining that loss throughout this year. Tauranga’s recovery was abruptly halted last month with values dropping 1.1% in September to make the three month change -0.1%. Monthly values in Wellington flattened but quarterly value change remains in the negatives (-0.5%). Values in Christchurch continue to drop and are now 1% below the same time last year, while Dunedin is showing signs of accelerating growth, albeit over a small time period (1.4% quarterly growth).
